In our Buy & Build Services team, we support portfolio companies of growth investors in the inorganic growth of their companies and thus in the focused development of strongly positioned groups of companies. 
 
As a member of our Buy & Build Services team, you steer and moderate the entire acquisition process and are the central contact for all persons involved in the process. You will support our clients in the implementation of their strategy by assisting them in the formulation of the acquisition strategy and identifying potential target companies according to the investment criteria. 
 
Whether it's financial analysis, assistance with proposal preparation, initial contact or introduction to the target company: Along the entire acquisition process, you will advise our clients with our Buy & Build Services team with great expertise, empathy and vision in solving their tasks.

We are looking for a new Senior Associate to join our buy-side team in Madrid.

Tasks

  • Actively identify and assess potential target investment companies based on defined acquisition strategies
  • Conduct thorough research and strategic analysis on selected targets, including financials, market positioning, and competitive landscape
  • Prepare and review company profiles, market and sector reports, information memorandums and transaction documentation
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior team members in marketing and origination activities
  • Prepare and assess historical and projected financial statements, including business plan plausibility checks
  • Analyze the financial implications of mergers and acquisitions, perform scenario analysis and interpret financial KPIs
  • Conduct and supervise valuation analysis

Requirements

  • A highly effective team player and motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentational, adaptability and time management skills
  • Holds strong academic qualifications, including a completed university degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, M&A, transaction services, consulting or private Equity
  • Proven track record of transaction involvement and the ability to manage workstreams independently
  • Deep understanding of finance and accounting; able to challenge financial assumptions
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
