UCP GAINS A MAJORITY SHAREHOLDING IN ERNI GARTENBAU & PLANUNGS AG
Ufenau Capital Partners jointly invests with the owners in Erni Gartenbau + Planung AG, with its head office in the Canton of Thurgau, Switzerland.
Erni Gartenbau + Planung AG employs over 50 people in Bottighofen and Kreuzlingen and, since its establishment in 1986, has served Eastern Switzerland with the design, construction and maintenance of individual gardens. The company also has proven expertise in natural pool facilities and swimming ponds. Erni is among Switzerland’s leading providers in these fields. The customer base is made up predominately of a private clientèle, corporate customers and public clients who place considerable importance on the reliability and experience of Erni. Together with Ufenau, the company’s founder, Mr Christian Erni, remains a shareholder and will shape the company’s future development as managing director.
“Succession planning is a huge, often difficult process, for the established, prosperous business owner. That is an area, in which I want to have a supporting influence, so that the strong horticultural operations are able to safeguard both their employees and their customers for the long term. The synergies that have arisen here for my company in Bottighofen, as well as all those involved, are diverse,” Christian Erni explains.
Sancovia initiated the transaction and has advised the buyer throughout the process.
