We are looking for a new Senior Associate to join our buy-side team in Madrid.
Tasks
- Actively identify and assess potential target investment companies based on defined acquisition strategies
- Conduct thorough research and strategic analysis on selected targets, including financials, market positioning, and competitive landscape
- Prepare and review company profiles, market and sector reports, information memorandums and transaction documentation
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior team members in marketing and origination activities
- Prepare and assess historical and projected financial statements, including business plan plausibility checks
- Analyze the financial implications of mergers and acquisitions, perform scenario analysis and interpret financial KPIs
- Conduct and supervise valuation analysis
Requirements
- A highly effective team player and motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Excellent interpersonal, presentational, adaptability and time management skills
- Holds strong academic qualifications, including a completed university degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, M&A, transaction services, consulting or private Equity
- Proven track record of transaction involvement and the ability to manage workstreams independently
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting; able to challenge financial assumptions
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English and Spanish
